Welcome to our first installment of "Eye Catching Truck Of The Month." We will be featuring show quality trucks along with profiles of their owners.
This month we bring you Tim Begle and his 2007 Western Star 4900SA. Tim's black metal flake beauty is powered by a 450 BHP Mercedes engine mated to an Eaton Ultrashift transmission. The sleeper is a 76 inch Starlight High Rise. Approximately 130 chicken lights adorn the cab along with lots of chrome and stainless steel found both inside and out.
The interior of the cab is sonically rockin', equipped with a Premium Pioneer stereo featuring a 12 disc CD player, satellite radio, ipod docking station and a sub-woofer. Tim's incredible rolling media center also includes an HDV widescreen TV along with a VCR/DVD combo player as well as a GPS mapping system.
Begle's eye catching tractor pulls a 1999 stainless steel Great Dane trailer which hauls office and household furniture as well as kitchen cabinets for Automated Transportation, based in St. Meinrad, Indiana.
Tim's 28 years' driving experience has seen him working as both an owner/operator and company driver. Even though Begle runs all 48 states, he prefers to operate west of the Mississippi with the exception of California.
During down time, Tim loves to hang out at the Chrome Dome shop located in Dale, IN, not far from his rural home that he shares with his wife and four children. He has a passion for hot wings and enjoys playing with his computer, camping and 4-wheeling on his ATV.
