June’s Eye-Catcher is a 2005 Kenworth W900L owned by Mitch Mounsey of Huntington, Indiana. Power comes from a Caterpillar C15 550 bhp engine routed to an 18 speed transmission and 3:55 rears. The KW has an 86 inch Studio sleeper and Mitch says that: “There is nothing special” in the interior of the cab.
Mounsey’s KW pulls a 1999 Wabash 48 foot spread axle trailer. He is an owner/operator running mostly east of the Mississippi. He drives the truck about 75,000 miles a year because most of his time is spent running his trucking company, MSM Transport, Inc. The business is comprised of 13 over-the-road tractor-trailers.
MSM uses both company trucks and owner/operators and freight is moved by vans, reefers and flatbeds.
Mitch has several “play toys,” including an H-model Mack, Peterbilt 362 cabover and a Marmon conventional.
Mounsey and his wife, Melissa, along with their three boys, enjoy traveling, camping and boating during downtime.
